OMG!!! I’m lovin it!! I don’t go to the west end much but I’ve passed by your store a few times when I was on my way to a shoot. I love the Webisode!!! You ladies are smart, beautiful and so much fun!!! Can’t wait to see more and will have to definitely drop in next time I’m in the neighborhood!
Interesting play – not really innovative in content, but to try a web only series on a digital broadcast network website is. I’ll be watching to see what happens on that end of things from my own business perspective.
I have known these girls for a long time, and nasty comments will not stop the amazing drive each of them has for success. This show came out of a lot of hard work and even though it has “The Hills” attached to so many comments, these girls actually have jobs! Educations! And they live in a way more kick-ass city than Hollywood! Not to mention although the store may have a major investor, none of the girls in the show are unemployed and/or living off of anyone. Including Jaclyn. These girls work for less than the average salary and are willing to look for ways to promote and manage themselves. They network hard and because of it get to live a fun lifestyle! I say right on for a show like this hitting Canada. Can’t wait to see more! Way to go Slice!
loving this show already please make longer episodes and put it on tv. would be such a hit in canada since it is canadian and we dont have any shows like this made in canada. the hills is great too but its american i know me and my girls will love this if it came on tv.
I do not understand the reasoning behind this series? I wish young women would see there is more to life, in a metropolitan city, than bottle service, and hair extensions. It is a shame Slice did not pick up on something more substantial especially in a city like Toronto. Clubbing and shopping has become such a cliche. I’m sorry Slice and JacFlash the report card says ‘needs improvement.’
I don’t mean this to be rude or for it to be perceived as an attack, but wouldn’t it be a lot cheaper and more cost-effective all-around to just have these girls stand in front of a mirror all day? Or create a Facebook page just for their friends to see? Because that is what this feels like, just a glorified shrine to themselves. Thus is why I don’t get all ‘The Hills’ comparisons. Those shows feature moderately compelling storylines and legitimate-if-ingenuine rivalries. This is literally just narcissism-on-display, and oh yeah, they drink and party too. I really can’t see what demographic or market research was done to certify this as a must-greenlight series, other than the production costs being picked up by Genovese herself. Certainly this is a program far more reliant on style than substance, and I hope the one-season run will be enough.
Incredibly clumsy introduction to characters with a very hit-you-over-the-head voice over. Good television needs to be much more elegant than that, and so does a good web series.
We continue to get lots of press! It seems like the whole city of Toronto is talking Jaclife. Check out our facebook page for updates and let us know what you think! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Jaclife/346913036895?ref=nf#!/pages/Jaclife/346913036895?ref=nf
This going to be an awesome show and i really hope they make it bigger than the hills because these girls are smarter, classier, real and actually kind. I think its silly that you guys are giving this bad reviews. Let them do their thing! its going to be great ladies keep up the great work!!
i love this show, and it should be on tv,plzzzzzzzzzzz bring it!
Good narration. Not as predictable as it seems, seeing as these women own a business and doesn’t seem to be centred around boyfriend drama
This is so not representative of Toronto, a multicultural city. I’m sure you’ll throw in a token black guy a few times here and there, though. YAWN.

Seems kind of derivative, and I’m not sure I really like any of the people yet, but I’m willing to give it another try.

Hi Frederick,
The show is a slice.ca production and was financed in-house at Canwest.
Definitely meh.
However, I do appreciate a good mind-less web series once in a while.
Probably will check out episode 2.
